The STA Level 3 Award in Adult and Paediatric Emergency First Aid is a one-day course designed for those who may be required to perform emergency first aid in environments where both adults and children are present. No previous first aid experience is required, allowing learners to start their training whenever they need to.
This qualification contains the combined content of both the STA Emergency First Aid at Work and STA Emergency Paediatric First Aid courses, covering a wide range of adult and paediatric workplace emergency first aid situations.

Once you have gained your qualification, you may be appointed as a designated adult and paediatric emergency first aider for your workplace.
You may wish to develop your knowledge and skills further by completing additional STA first aid qualifications or CPDs.
Alternatively, learners may wish to complete additional STA qualifications such as manual handling, fire marshal, lifesaving, swimming teaching and pool plant to support a broader career in the leisure or education sector.
